Students biking together at the Valley Youth Center Duluth

Play. Grow.
Succeed.

At Valley Youth Centers, we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for youth ages 5 and up in west Duluth. Our after school and summer programs are designed to provide tutoring and mentoring to help youth with homework, leadership and recreational activities to strengthen their physical health.

The Valley Youth Centers programs are tailored to meet the needs of the youth in our community. We offer a variety of programs and projects that focus on academic success, leadership development, and physical health. Our daily activities include tutoring and homework help, mentoring, leadership development, and recreational activities. Our goal is to empower youth to reach their full potential.

Every year the VYC works hard to provide one-time special events for our students. These special events include: Valley Fair, MN Twins games, UMD games, Dances, Beaches, Parks, Camps and many more! Keep in mind, to qualify your student(s) need to register and fill out special event forms.

Yearly Registration

If your student is new the VYC, please fill out and return the yearly registration form to the VYC.

Table Tennis

If your student is interested in learning the advanced game of ping pong, the VYC has the coaching, equipment, and supplies to take them to any height they would want to achieve within the game and themselves. We offer a training facility style practice night every Monday in the school’s GYM. There are opportunities to travel and compete on a state and national level. To qualify for traveling opportunities, the student must be in good standing with grades and attendance at school. If additional help is needed to your student to be in good standing, we have many resources to help.
